About Us<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The North Worcestershire Archaeology Group (NWAG) was set up in 2009 to develop new knowledge of the archaeology and history of north Worcestershire. We’re a small and friendly community group whose members come from all walks of life, from retired amateurs to university academics!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the years we’ve undertaken dozens of projects researching the archaeology and history of our region, exploring everything from medieval castles and moats to Georgian mills and Victorian labourer’s cottages. Our members recieve training and opportunities to use of all the techniques in the archaeologist’s toolbox, including desk-based research, fieldwalking, topographic survey, and excavation. We love sharing our findings with the wider world, so make our results available via reports and articles in archaeological journals like the Worcestershire Recorder.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
