Plastic doll from Tomkin’s Farm, Martley (\u00a9 North Worcestershire Archaeology Group)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n…so here’s a blast from the past! This plastic doll (or ‘action figure’) was found during fieldwork at Tomkin’s Farm, Martley. Dolls of this kind were produced en-masse by American and British toy manufacturers after the launch of Hasbro’s G.I. Joe in 1964, and were some of the most popular children’s toys of their day. Plenty of our members remember these from Christmases past! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
