CBA West Midlands – News from the Past 2023

“News from the Past: the latest archaeological discoveries in the West Midlands” day school is now open for bookings. This annual event includes illustrated presentations about sites and objects from rural and urban parts of the region across a range of periods.

Topics and speakers confirmed so far include:

  • Sutton Park – Dr Mike Hodder
  • Attingham Park, Shropshire, and its lost Regency pleasure garden – Dr Nigel Baker
  • Recent work in Staffordshire – Shane Kelleher (Staffordshire County Council),
  • Old Hall Street excavations – Peter Lovett (Worcestershire Archaeology),
  • Digital reconstruction projects in the West Midlands – Tim Cornah (Worcestershire Archaeology)
  • Portable Antiquities Scheme Annual Round up
